PluralEyes is a standalone application and plugin (for Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and others) developed by Red Giant (now part of Maxon) that automatically synchronizes video and audio clips from multiple cameras and audio recorders.

You import all your clips—multiple video files from different cameras (which have their own built-in mics) and one or more separate, high-quality audio recordings from a dedicated recorder (e.g., a Zoom H4n, Tascam DR-40X).

You drag and drop all these files into PluralEyes.

You click the "Synchronize" button.

The software analyzes the audio patterns from every clip. Even if the audio from a camera's mic is low-quality and noisy, it can match the pattern to the clean master audio recording.

Within minutes (or even seconds), it aligns all clips on a single timeline based on their common audio, perfectly in sync.

How It Fits Into a Workflow

A typical workflow looks like this:

Shoot: Record with multiple cameras and a separate audio recorder.

Transfer: Copy all media files to your editing computer.

Sync: Open PluralEyes, drag all clips in, and click "Synchronize."

Export: Have PluralEyes create a new Premiere Pro (or other NLE) project file.

Edit: Open the new project file. All your clips are perfectly synced and ready for multi-cam editing.
